California Dreamin...

Somewhere over the rainbow? I think so...
So I wanted to take a moment and let everyone know why there was such a lack of activity on my part lately. I'll be posting more details verrrrrrry soon about all the big changes going on in my life, but for now, let's just say that my time in California is starting to come to an end.

I've decided there is better way to take advantage of my last few days in San Francisco than by walking around and soaking up all the sights, sounds and smells of this amazing city. It may be known for being 7 x 7 in size, but San Francisco sure knows how to pack a punch.

I've realized that I don't want to leave and look back regretting the things I didn't do or the places I didn't see. It's easy to get caught up in work and every obstacle that life throws us, that we forget to appreciate what's right in front of us. That being said, today is what I'm calling my 'Solo Tourist Day' in San Francisco. I'm taking my camera, a good pair of walking shoes, some sunglasses for the gorgeous sunshine and heading out to play tourist in the place I've learned to call home. I'm not quite sure yet where my feet may lead me, but that's one of things I've come to appreciate about travel---no matter if you're traveling near or far.

There is still so much to see and do, so I'm going to leave it at that and get outside while I can. I'll be back soon with more photos of the adventure and updates about what is next for this California girl. In the meantime, I hope you can take a moment yourself to look around and revel in the simple pleasures. They might be gone faster than you think and you don't want to be kept looking over your shoulder, wondering "what if..." Take hold of every moment now and you'll have stories to tell for a lifetime.
